I went to Boston with the expectation of serving people and I was so excited to see how God used me. Little did I know that I was going to be served too. I saw Jesus working, and I truly found a new way to worship. Worship for me now means proclaiming His name and listening for His voice, and that doesn’t always come in the form of singing.
One day when we were walking around, I prayed that the Lord would lay someone in my path in a way that I didn’t feel like I was bombarding someone or making them feel uncomfortable. Within five minutes of my prayer, a man named Coco approached us and started a conversation with us. I was able to share a Bible verse with him and we ended our time with prayer. Leaving my conversation with Coco, I was completely blown away at how quickly and powerfully God answered my prayer. He showed me that He really is a God of action and all we have to do is be still and wait.
He also showed me how well and abundantly He loves. The most humbling and amazing feeling is knowing that He loves every single person the exact same despite their income, lifestyle, or beliefs. I am truly overwhelmed and amazed at how He revealed Himself to us in Boston. I believe with my whole heart that we touched that place and I know that it touched every one of us as well.
